Rebecca Valdez - 3rd Great Granddaughter of William M. Scholl

Rebecca Loraine Cloer Valdez, 53, passed away on Sept. 13, 2008, at Twin Cities Community Hospital. She was born at the Paso Robles War Memorial Hospital in July 1955 to James E. Cloer and Blanche Reese Cloer.

Becki was preceded in death by her father, James Cloer; her step-sister, Michelle Marie Scott; and her grandparents, Vern and Lucille Reese.

She is survived by her husband, Eduardo “Eddie” Valdez; parents Blanche Scott and Ben Scott; her sisters, Trinka Jean Cloer Sipes Reynolds, Elaine Cloer, Valerie Kay Scott Coulter; her favorite brother-in-law David Valdez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Becki grew up in Templeton and attended Templeton Elementary School, Templeton Middle School and Templeton High School. She spent the last 24 years with her loving husband, Eduardo Valdez. They were best friends and true soul mates. Eddie was the light and joy of her life.

Rebecca will always be remembered for her love of all animals. She had many cats, dogs, birds and horses. She is also preceded in death by her “co-pilot” Oreo. Oreo was very special to Becki, not just as her pet dog, but as an integral part of her family. She will also be remembered for her compassion and giving nature towards people less fortunate than herself. Becki never hesitated to help and lend a hand to any person, any time.

Rebecca was a vintage muscle car enthusiast and enjoyed camping anywhere — forests, the desert, the ocean, lakes and rivers. She enjoyed all water sports — water skiing, jet skiing and swimming. She loved meeting and conversing with people of all walks of life.

Becki will be missed by her husband, Eduardo, and her family.
