Marvin Allen Pool, Sr.

Marvin Allen Pool Sr., 73-year old lifetime area resident, died Saturday, June 20, 1992, at the VA Hospital in Muskogee.

He was born April 26, 1919, in Vinita to Allen Pool and Maude (Moss) Pool. He married Pearl Hayes on January 12, 1944, in Vinita.

He was retired from ranching and construction contracting in northeastern Oklahoma. He was an army veteran and a prisoner-of-war in Germany during World War II.

He is a member of the Adair Masonic Lodge, the Craig County Scottish Rite Society of Oklahoma, The American Legion Post #40, V.F.W., and the D.A.V.

Survivors included: His wife, Pearl Pool, of the home; two sons, Marvin Allen Pool Jr. and Charles Fredrick Pool, both of Vinita; one grandson, David Pool, Bartlesville, OK: one granddaughter, Jamie Davis, St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Mildred Summers, Tulsa, and Jean Blaney, Ruidosa, N.M., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Owen Pool, and one sister, Pauline Dannels.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Charles McBee officiating.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery with Masonic rites. Arrangements are by the Burckhalter Funeral Home of Vinita.
